Welcome to our class website!
This is where you can see lots of our work, our art work and photographs and videos of us working hard and having fun!
World Book Day
We celebrated World Book Day in style in Rm.2. We all dressed up as our favourite book character. We read lots of different stories and practiced all our sounds, tricky words and writing. We also had a very special experience when 4 girls from 1st class, including Klaudia's big sister Emilia, read us a Polish fairy tale that Victoria had brought in from home. The girls even tried to teach Ms. McGrath some Polish! We had a fantastic World Book Day!
We are very luck to have started Reading Buddies this term in Junior Infants. Ms.Kelly's 3rd class girls come to visit every Friday for half an hour before lunch. During this time the girls read the children stories and help the children to practice sounding out words and recognising "Tricky Words" in the stories. We love our reading buddy time and look forward to it every Friday.
Christmas Stories with 3rd class.
We had a visit from Ms.Kelly's 3rd class today. They read us some excellent stories all about Christmas they they had written themselves. We were all very impressed with the exciting plot lines and beautiful illustrations that the girls had created. We loved our storytime.
Jack and the Beanstalk Pantomime
We had our very first school trip on Monday 12th December. We were very lucky to attend Jack and the Beanstalk, a pantomime which took place, in Ballyfermot Civic Centre. The boys and girls loved watching all the actors in their fabulous costumes. We all thought Ma Sprat was very funny but we got a little fright when the Giant shouted "Fee Fi Fo Fum"! We had great fun dancing at the end of the Panto to Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop the Feeling". It really was a super way to get us all in the Christmas spirit.
Sam Maguire Visit
On Thursday 8th December we were very luck to have a visit from the Sam Maguire! All the boys and girls were very excited and delighted to be able to wear their jerseys and Dublin colours.
We had a very special delivery in Room 2 on Monday, our Santa Cam arrived. Santa can keep an eye on all us all in our classroom all the way from the North Ploe now. He can make sure we're all working hard and being kind to eachother. Our Santa Cam has pride of place on our Christmas tree and blends in seemlessly with all our other decorations.
